Another well conceived and crafted essay expressing the thoughts, concepts and ideals of Australians.
I join with you in suggesting that if hearers are offended by civilised Christian greetings and sentiments there are plenty of third world countries that might have them.
I would prefer however they recognise the foundations of our faith and constitution and join with us in making our country fairer, safer and more “good on you mate”.
Merry Christmas to you and wishing all Australians the very best for the new year.
We should never ever give up our own beliefs or traditions because some other faction doesn't like it. If anyone comes to our country then they must abide by our rules and laws and traditions. If they don't like that then send them back.
I'm impressed that you have had the courage to say what you did, Ralph. There is too much political correctness these days, and people, especially those in the public arena are too fearful to speak their mind for fear of offending someone. Political correctness has destroyed so much of what we once held as sacred. Christianity, from its beginnings suffered persecution especially from a certain group who are with us still. The Apostles, with the exception of one suffered martyrdom. By the time they were dead the fix was in, and Christianity's enemies worked hard to infiltrate and subvert from with in. When a movement can't be suppressed by the spilling of lots of blood the next best way to destroy it is to join it and subvert from within, and that's what happened to Christianity. Fast forward to our day and the traditional enemies of Jesus are at it still. In their "sacred" writings they say terrible things about Jesus, his mother and anyone else they don't like are in the firing line. So now we have imported into this country all sorts of other "religions" and we're told we have to be multicultural and accept all and sundry and bow to their wishes. It's really the new form of persecution. Oh, we don't see Christians being thrown to the lions, not yet anyway. One of their own is quoted as saying that if he had been alive in the days of Jesus he would have sent Jesus to Rome to be devoured by the lions because Jesus would have been turned into mincemeat and thus no resurrection. How far this new type of persecution with its political correctness will go is anyone guess. However, it's time to take a stand, Christians, regardless of what denomination you adhere to.
Another splendid article - A Merry and Happy Christmas Senator Babet to you and to your family, and a Merry Christmas fellow citizens! Joy to the world, The Lord is born! Let earth receive her King!
Well said, since political correctness came in, Australia has gone mad, lost our foundation not to offend anyone, but go to their land and you would be sent back on the next flight!! Enjoy Christmas with famiy and friends, merry Christmas, Jesus is the reason and the greatest gift of all!!!
Merry Christmas Senator Babet.😊In my experience Christmas is to most people about love and good will towards others. It is clearly not about hatred, intolerance and violence so it’s hard to understand how anyone who holds these decent values could be considered to be an infidel. As you say, we should not take the Christian message about Christ out of Christmas. It is irrational to do so. I know many people who are not Christian but who are happy to celebrate Christmas and exchange the Merry Christmas greeting. Thank you for explaining so clearly the problems that we face due to political correctness and the silencing and intimidation of those who dare to celebrate Christmas for what it is.
Well said! MERRY CHRISTMAS to you and your family. I actually corrected a young girl behind the counter in a pharmacy yesterday, she said Happy Holidays as I received my change, I said Merry Christmas to her and she seemed very confused. It is sad that young people working in places like that are told they mustn’t say Merry Christmas in case it offends someone. This is Australia and Christmas is wonderful, it is so great to go to church in Christmas Day.
Merry Christmas . Merry Christmas to all . Peace on earth.
Anyone that finds this offensive should not be in our democratic Christian country.
I am disturbed at mass immigration of those of the Islamic, Muslim ideology. This is a vile, evil ideology that subjugates women, abused children, practices female genital mutilation and polygamy and declares death to the infidel. They are not compatible and do not assimilate peacefully . They should not be allowed into our country to cause trouble .
Thankyou senator Ralph for all you do in government .
Merry Christmas fellow citizens! Bring back nativity scenes and carols please.
Our Australian culture is eroded and the labor government is burning the last rights we have, merry Christmas, I hope the Cristian based race survives
Christianity will survive and flourish because it comes from God.
Labor are the Illuminatis puppets.
At least the Fabian society’s puppets
Labour are the public liaison, middle managers for the club.
Merry Christmas Senator Babet. You are a bloody champion! 🎅🇦🇺
Merry Christmas Ralph, enjoy your time with family and friends. Thanks for speaking the truth.

Great to see at least one politician talking about this, and unapologetic as well, bravo.
Merry Christmas.

I’m an atheist but I still enjoy Christmas! It’s good fun and time to catch up with family and friends
Beautifully and clearly expressed, Senator. Merry Christmas 🎄

Yes! They don't realise how offensive 'Happy Holidays' is to Christians.

The fault, dear Senator, lies not in the useful idiots but in our department of education, for it is sorely infected.
