We currently have the worst government in living memory. They are destroying this country and hurting the people. They need a wake up call. Australia needs nuclear power. That is a definite no brainer.

We should stick with coal because "CO2-warming" has always, from the get-go, been extreme-left propaganda.

Here's the basic physics people should know on CO2 and the "catastrophic man-made global warming" narrative.

CO2 absorbs outgoing longwave infrared radiation (heat) as photons at 14.8 microns wavelength (Planck’s Law).

The temperature of absorption at 14.8 microns is -80 degrees Celsius (Wien’s Displacement Law), which is found in the lower stratosphere, well above the troposphere where weather exists.

Minus 80 degrees Celsius is 95 degrees lower than average surface temperature.

The Second Law of Thermodynamics proves heat doesn’t flow from cold zones to hotter zones.

CO2 cannot “trap heat.” It can only delay outgoing heat momentarily so high up in the atmosphere it’s irrelevant.

Atmospheric CO2 is contingent upon seawater temperature (Henry’s Law).

Only the sun has the energy to heat 1.335 billion cubic kilometres of water.

To control Earth’s climate, you must control the sun.

The “climate debate” is now and always has been political and anti-scientific.

Thank you. There was a peer reviewed study: three plants all the same. The plants with an additional dose of CO2 grew taller than the plant with none. In other words plants LOVE CO2.

Absolutely correct on all points. UN controlled globalists politicians have no place in Australian governments.

Only trade-offs in energy policy. Coal is abundant, easy to store and relatively cheap but it usually contains 1.3 ppm of uranium and 3.4 ppm of thorium (not to mention arsenic, mercury, ash, particulate and sulfur). When coal burns, these isotopes are emitted into the atmosphere, where they enter our ecosystem. This leads to the astounding fact that the population effective dose equivalent from coal plants is 100 times that from nuclear plants. Scrubbers on coal plants only remove the sulfur as far as I know. I didn't mention CO2 because it isn't a pollutant.

Also the energy density of uranium is extraordinary, with current US reactors operating at 95% capacity factor. Coal is 48% and gas is 57% in comparison (US DOE). In 70 years of nuclear reactor use there have been zero injuries or deaths from spent nuclear fuel as well. The stuff is potential fuel for future generations when breeder reactors become more economical. Parasitical solar and wind factories have no place on a powerhouse grid of nuclear, gas, some coal and hydro. Roof-top solar and batteries are fine for those who can afford that and want the independence.

we should stick to coal and prepare to change over to nuclear in the future

coal employs Australians and we need to get rid of the ridiculous royalties and and chuck out this pathetic excuse for government whilst were at it

The Chinese are now building clean coal power stations. Even if Australia gave the Chinese the job of building them in Australia next to the existing ones, or suitable sites, and using the existing grid we would be way in front. Chinese are using profits off selling us wind and solar to pay for theirs. Win win for China

Liebor, to me, appears to be rushing through all this renewable BS so that in three years time when there's another election, it might be too late for a future government to reverse what they've done due to there being too much infrastructure been built along with foreign ownership. This is truly scary. All these billions of dollars already spent. Would a future government spend all those billions of dollars a second time over only for Liebor to get re-elected sometime in the future and repeat their BS once again? And unfortunately there would never be an uprising in Australia. One: We have no way to defend ourselves and two: There's too many migrants that wouldn't even consider joining in a peaceful protest, let alone anything like an uprising.

Labor is not only detached from reality, but also from the financial core of its own energy transition. The government locks into long-term renewable commitments while superannuation funds, which hold over AUD 3.5 trillion, are already reallocating capital back into fossil fuel companies. These same funds still declare “net zero by 2050” on paper, yet their actual exposure to fossil expansion doubled from AUD 19 b to AUD 39 b between 2021 and 2024

A society approaching collapse, as we are, should not be contemplating nuclear plants that require multi-generational maintenance. You cannot just walk away from a nuclear plant or big problems arise.

We have a superabundance of coal and burning it does not affect the climate because CO2 cannot "trap heat". You can walk away from a coal plant and it simply goes out when it runs out of fuel with no harm done.

Nuclear is just another distraction squirrel to divert us long enough for our grid to collapse and for the 28 million Aussies who rely on it to die.

Why is anything that would be obvious to a 10 year old, not understood by our current Government. They ignore solutions to our power issues, yet at the same time accept that people can change their sex on a whim. Biggest question however, is who keeps voting them in

We need to be told who is benefitting from running down the road to "green" energy. Follow the money trail which would be most revealing I'm sure. Well, at a glance we know that China is benefitting from the scam as they are making the solar panels and windmills to plant all over the place. Funny how the "greens" who are so keen on environment and little biddy animals but don't give a chuck when animals are displaced in the places wind farms are erected. Seems to me that hypocrisy rules the days and those freaks are getting away with it. How much blame can we attribute to the lame stream media by not informing folks what's really going on. Lies, corruption doth reign supreme...

So..... No not for nuke.... We humans are far from being reliable to operate a system where there's NO coming back from mistakes.....we can't mine sadly yet without major damage to the environment.... People put money before all else...cut corners an so on....This is another money making business Uranium """". Gates is already involved in this with his set up companies..... Improve our coal burning system.... reliable an most safe TILL A REAL safe an reliable source is discovered.....I'm sure it's out there already. By the way uranium releases its particles into atmosphere.....look at graphs from USA which shows....A big increase in birth defects found around there Nuclear plants .............🙄☠️

Without electricity, the deep state has no power over us - no computers means no DI, no online to censor, no control over our finances, lives etc. Their 'greed energy' is not sustainable on any level - not even for them. It's time to ditch the UN (their weapon of choice to keep us under control) and get our country back. Keep going, Senator...

Renewable’s have been set to fail from the start most likely by the oil industry. When idiots talk about the failure of Renewable’s ask them how far their petrol or diesel vehicle can go with no Fuel tank. Evil-Corp along with corrupt Politicians introduced solar and wind power with NO FUEL TANK!

STORAGE is the simple solution to Renewable’s full Stop.

As president Trump said, the climate change agenda is a great hoax, the climate goes up and down in cycles since the beginning of time and will continue that way. According to ice drilling scientists, core samples taken in Greenland were 2 degrees warmer over 1000 years ago. Once we were going to freeze, now we are going to burn. Use the cheapest and most reliable power, coal, gas, nuclear.
