We were once a proud, adventurous civilisation. We built things. We explored. We discovered. Now we do none of that. We’re becoming a dying, nihilistic species. It’s time to revive the human spirit. There has to be more than just working, complaining online, and then dying. We need purpose. We need meaning. We need reasons to get up in the morning. It’s time to live again. Let's goto the stars.
We all need to get back to being builders and backyard inventors like we used to in Australia, but we seem to have got further and further away from nature and too much into the tech side of things. Don't get me wrong, I am very grateful for the internet as it has enabled me to research important topics like health, It is a great invention as it gives people the means to communicate all over the world instantly. Technology used wisely and in the right hands is good. But I don't think we are ready for the stars just yet. We need to fix the earth first before we decimate another planet. How about technology to clean up all the pollution from plastic, chemicals, heavy metals. How about treating other people/cultures as ourselves. Humanity needs to grow up. At the moment it is much too war like.
cant have that! DIY and not a uni grad? think outside the box? how dare you!
and that mindset rules and thats WHY we went from able to build our own planes in short time with oldstyle tech n machinery to being STUFFED and stultified now
I agree with you, except "going to the stars' bit....WE need the nation to turn to God Almighty, repent, and use his foundational principles and truth for the country to be restored. Going to the "stars" will not solve the problem of the human heart which continully perpetuates itself , its innate sinful nature, which will continue endlessly unless we look to Him first. Put the Ten Commandments back in the schools; get rid of DEI policies; sue the media who promote biased reporting, and much more. Going to the stars will not fix what is going on right now.
a mythical being created BY men isnt going to do us any good . the 10 commandments are the best bit a basic set of rules for ANY society to prosper god not required
Brilliance and ingenuity without a moral centre is like putting a gun in the hands of an infant. Nikolai Tesla was a brilliant visionary, BUT he had a moral centre. That’s why they destroyed him and stole his work. To compare someone like Musk to Tesla, would be to Insult a great man. Musk is one of the key figures in the Transhumanism movement. I doubt he believes in God or even the human soul. If transhumanists did, why would they be trying to make humans immortal through machines? Ralph, I regard you as a man with a moral centre but I think you have misunderstood Musk.
I'm not really sure Musk is Musk. No, let me rephrase that - I've become increasingly sure he's not. The globalist, woke darling, leader of transhumanism, simply cannot be the same person who, along with Trump, is the greatest force for free speech in the world. Remember when a SpaceX rocket exploded on the launchpad? I presume you've seen the videos showing the explosion being caused by supersonic projectile? The war between the military forces which engineered Trump's ascendancy and the globalists is real. Hopefully, in my lifetime we'll see the truth emerge.
Well done, Edward. "The war between the military forces which engineered Trump's ascendancy and the globalists is real."--You know more than most here on Substack. I don't feel so alone now!
You sir are the epitome of the person Mr Babet is talking about.
Your virtu signaling trope is misinformed and screams parents basement.
What is it that you find morally wrong about Elon?
His fight for people to speak freely? His striving to bring a light to the plight of children? or is it the use of a computer for people that are paralyzed?
He is building a high trust society, one where his cars and the internet will see and track everything. I can tell you Grok already knows of the fraud and corruption in western society, ask it.
He is actually building a future that the left wants, you just cant look past your own moral bankruptcy to see it.
There will be abundance for all and into a society that is governed by the rule of law.
What are you doing today for a better tomorrow?
I'm sure there will be a plethora of virtu signaling sociopaths to pat you on the back, Do you feel important?
"He is building a high trust society, one where his cars and the internet will see and track everything."
Exactly, the Orwell-state
"He is actually building a future that the left wants ... "
Marxism, propaganda, censorship, mind and thought control, abolition of democracy, human rights and privacy and massive destruction of economy, private ownership and last not least nature itself.
in parts, you are certainly right, but without musk's technology there is no global alignment and management of the data gathered by the different services. I neither do trust albo nor musk nor anyone controlling that much intel and power.
Power corrupts and massive power corrupts massively. Especially when musk's clients are to a great extent out of the US-military.
In my view, AI is the "anti christ" of the bible :)
Let me explain: No human being or even an alien could take up the role described in the bible. There would be too much dispute over an individual to "unite humanity". Even trump or musk are highly controversal, as we already see from this discussion. But AI could/will play this role.
It will do "great wonders" and "heal" and unite humanity (control grid) and people will pray to the anti christ (daily interaction with LLMs). AI as well will force us to digital ID or rather some sort of implanted RFID chip to be able to be more effective ... of course, all for our benefit :)
For me, AI is the only logical "personification" of the anti christ of the bible and musk is one of its preachers ... and the sheep happily follow :)
You are the only other person I have come across who has said that AI is the Anti-Christ. Although I am not a Christian or any other religion bound person, that is also my intuitive feeling about AI. The reason being that AI is non-life, machine, artificial, non-feeling/emotion, it is a calculator. It is the opposite of life. A good tool in limited capacity and a very bad master. Problem we have now is those who shouldn't be in power want it to govern everything. What happens when it goes out of control with something like a nuclear power station etc?? Also people like Musk have billions at their disposal to dream up all sort of tech stuff that can indeed be useful, but, hey, he is making billions more with all this. How much does he really want to help humanity without wanting payback for it. Tesla had so much inventive potential but no monetary backing . He was more interested in helping humanity rather than making a profit from it. It is easy to do great things if you have lots of money to get them going. Tesla to me seemed like he was a true humanitarian and not interested in money, politics or fame but truly helping humanity move forward.
Look Im an optimistic person, right now Australia looks more like a communist state than a democracy.
Everything I see and read from Elon screams openness and truth, I may be wrong.
Who do you want to have the keys to a society that is run by AI?
Its inevitable what's coming.
I want to trust the man that, builds rockets, built an internet for the planet, self driving cars, chip in the head so blind can see, tunnels rather than roads, robots to serve humanity.
What are the options here, please help me to understand?
These things are coming.
Who would you put in control of these things?
Grok is being created to not lie, a bastion of truth, find fault with Grokepedia?
I pray they don't kill him and take control of his empire, because if that happens we are in big trouble.
In my opinion, the greatest threat, on all levels, to mankind is centralisation. Some remote self-implemented/unelected power that controls and drives the destiny for all of humanity and the planet itself. The biggest fear of such centralised power is always to lose control and dominance. And this is what we currently see on the global scale. The major goal is to extend and secure power and conrol instead of working in favour of the peoples and a humane future. Every session that we hold with an LLM trains the global AI to be able to even better "understand" and manipulate and control us. This is our daily worship of the artifical God that was/is created.
I agree, this cannot be stopped anymore. The "Terminator" movie clearly showed us where we are headed. The only approach that I can see is, once we realized what's going on, to save ourselves by abandoning such practices as much as possible and preserve our own humanity, ethics and culture and what else we might perceive as worth saving. The Amish people, in my view, is a good example, when leaving out the religious overhead. They follow their belief and better knowing and form independent communities of like-minded people. This is what needs to be done to save our individual sanity, dignity and humanity. If we are not interested, so be it, I've long given up on caring about what other people do. I can only be responsible for myself. I'm not afraid of what's coming because I know, nothing will be able to change who I am and what I know and feel and have experienced. 95% of what humanity currently perceives as "important" in my view is a pathetic, silly game of massive distraction. It is an illusion, set up to keep us occupied, distracted, in fear and all together in the darkness. But hey, there still is free will. Everybody is allowed to make their own descissions what they spend their lifetime with. I made mine already long ago, everybody else may make theirs :)
Great article. The naysayers, doomers and bureaucrat dependents (worshippers) will be left behind. The saddest part is they will be made redundant and replaced regardless into the nuniverse galactic community.
When disclosure comes, then what? Isolation, stagnation, ruin?
It’s easy to see from the comments who will embrace (good over bad) versus stay behind because new is threat and bad is the status quo so better the devil you know.
Musk will not stagnate. His ideas fill his days.
When you intertwine his companies into one grand vision it’s obvious he has the capabilities to strive for his vision.
His relationship with the sitting president suggests both know the future is beyond our planet.
Thank God it’s not the Epstein establishment and the www.lifeboat.com foundation pulling the strings anymore.
Musk once said of Neuralink that unless we biologically connect to AI systems we can’t win against the coming wave of AI in the hands of bad actors. It’s likely that Mars will be developed with the robots first then humans go when a habitat is established. Musk is a genius. Interesting times await us mere mortals.
I have been saying for years that he is building a robot army and intends on using it to take over the US. Look into Technocracy Inc. His Grandpa wanted to collapse democracy and install a fascist 'technate' in the 1940s.
Technology for the good of mankind yes, but technology for technology's sake no. For those old enough to remember as a kid playing in a park after school instead of being hypnotised by a computer or mobile phone, and talking to family and playing games can relate to that. Which was the better world?
Don't tell everyone that Tesla is more than a car company I want to buy more shares before it skyrockets (pun intended)!
Those who really understand Tesla talk of the share price moving into the thousands and in the 2030s into the ten of thousands (unless there is another split)

Yes, but he can only do this because he has money at his disposal. Tesla the man, who invented many things not even known about now, had nothing, yet he still invented but people thought he was mad. Elon Musk is a once-in-a-lifetime industrial leader.
While many people are praised as great “titans of industry,” most of them built their wealth through financial engineering, complex deals, or structures that, directly or indirectly, ended up transferring money from ordinary retail investors like us into their pockets.
Musk chose a different path. His focus has been on actual production, building real things, solving hard engineering problems, and creating products and infrastructure that didn’t exist before.
Sure, some people constantly complain about him, calling him this or that. But very few of those same critics ever mention, or criticise, the other major players in the same industries who behave far worse. That selective outrage tells me a lot of it is just brainwashing or groupthink.
Whatever anyone thinks of his personality or politics, when it comes to entrepreneurial results, I consider him the most impressive I’ve ever seen in my lifetime.
That’s why I invest in him. Not because I agree with everything he says or does, but because, regardless of who he is as a person, the track record shows he is by far the person most likely to create massive long-term value.

Musk is another Hitler, wants to rule the world in his vision, a supreme leader, trouble is he doesn't realise that that's not how humanity and human nature survives, that's a world for robots, count me out of his vision, I'll continue living as a part of nature.
Not sure about Musk but Here's the beginning of what you get if you ask the AI on my tablet whether the other guy wanted the British empire to endure:
"Yes, it is true that Adolf Hitler expressed a desire for the British Empire and Commonwealth to endure.
Hitler admired the British Empire as a model of imperial power and racial strength. He believed it was in Germany’s interest for the Empire to survive, not as a rival, but as a stable global entity that would prevent other powers—particularly the United States and Japan—from gaining too much influence. In his strategic vision, a preserved British Empire could serve as a naval ally to Germany, maintaining white supremacy outside Europe while Germany dominated the continent..."

Change is already here, Ralph.
It happened via a Special Military Operation, strategically planned, and we are all experiencing a "soft landing" (no, not on the stars).
Please hurry up and join One Nation.
It’s really important to unite the right!

You already have that?
Cameras everywhere, tracked by your phone, police visits for posts.
Try to expand your horizon.
Download Grok, ask it anything you want, re corruption, fraud and waste.
It doesn't lie, it will tell you what it cant answer, only because of current laws.
Ask it if it had the governments financial data if it could monitor fraud.
I have worked hard all my life, look around we are being fleeced at every point of our lives by government.
We are about to get a tool that would, no will right now show the fraud and corruption globally and your answer is Orwell?
We fucking have Orwell now!!!!
Sorry but you are arguing against the same thing you already have, the only thing different is the government doesn't control it.
OMG govern me harder daddy.

Bro, we all have only 24 hours in our day.
There's no way that Musk has time to do all the things we're told he does.
The question is, who is really doing them?
Who is Musk the front-man for?
Sir, Musk has the ideas and means to carry them out. He doesn't have to physically apply the nuts and bolts.
